Wallsend, Waratah and Thornton - Jazz, Tap, Classical, Funk, Modern, Lyrical Contemporary, Cheer and In-School Dance Programs

Miss Cheryl has been involved in the performing arts industry for over 49 years, with 35 years teaching experience in many styles of dance. Jazz, Tap, Classical, Funk, Modern, Lyrical Contemporary and Cheer. She has been involved in establishing dance programs for many Hunter Schools during this time, including Maryland PS, Glendore PS, Waratah PS, Edgeworth Heights PS, Plattsburg PS, Nulkuba PS, Our Lady of Victories, Wallsend High School (Callaghan College Wallsend Campus) and St Pius X. She has choreographed over 200 pieces for the Hunter Region Dance Festival for State Schools and choreographed and designed Rock Eisteddfods for Callaghan College Wallsend Campus and St Pius X. 

Miss Cheryl’s teaching experience is backed with qualifications from Royal Academy of Dance London for Classical Ballet, DES Classical and DES Character. Zumba Fitness, Zumba Toning, Zumbatomic and first aid. Miss Cheryl is looking at adding to her qualifications with completing her Pilates and Barre Class certificates. She has personally taught over 5000 students since 1987 and has a current Working with Children Certificate.

Not only does she run three academies she also runs 4 primary schools dance programs providing quality teaching to school students to perform choreography for all events at school from CAPA performances, Hunter Region Dance Festivals, Starstruck, Grandparents Day, Education Week performances, NAIDOC Day, Book Week, Christmas and Easter Performances , School Assemblies, School Orientation and Presentation Days.

Miss Cheryl is motivated in sharing and inspiring her passion of dance with as many children as she can.
